Living In The Age Of AI

Seeing how quickly AI is developing was one of the most shocking things said in the video on AI. Nowadays, AI is capable of more than just completing jobs; it can also make difficult decisions and even be creative. This quick progress stimulates wonder as well as concern. On the one hand, artificial intelligence has enormous potential to address critical global problems However, the moral implications of AI having such power are unsettling.

The idea of AI exceeding human intelligence frightened me the most. The potential situation where AI may endlessly improve itself and cause an uncontrollably high level of intelligence was covered in the video. It is disturbing to consider that we might no longer be the most intelligent species on Earth. It raises important questions regarding how we will interact with technology in the future and the dangers of developing beings that may develop faster than we can comprehend or manage.

It's difficult to navigate how AI will affect internet security, privacy, and national security. On the one hand, AI improves user experiences and strengthens protection capabilities by advancing threat detection. It assists in spotting possible dangers to national security, detecting fraud, and enhancing processes for authentication. On the other hand, issues with misuse of information, surveillance, and biases in AI systems raise privacy concerns. The advantages of AI for national security must be weighed against the threats, which include the likelihood of weaponization, cyberattacks on AI systems, and the decreasing number of rights for citizens due to widespread surveillance. As fakes spread and AI-powered attacks become more common, the benefits of online security from cybersecurity defenses and fraud detection are countered, posing serious concerns to identity and trust.

I think AI will keep developing into an important technology that affects all aspect of everyday life and organizations. It will improve efficiency, creativity, and decision-making in a number of fields, including healthcare, transportation, finance, and education. AI has the potential to completely change how humans work and interact with technology as it develops because it will probably grow more independent and capable of solving complicated problems. However, in order to guarantee that AI development is consistent with human values, promotes inclusion, and successfully addresses new challenges, moral problems and societal effects must be carefully addressed.

Privacy, Online & Off

Privacy, Online & Off  I learned how crucial security is when using social media and phones after viewing the multiple TedTalk videos. Security and privacy concerns affect people individually as well as their friends and relatives. The saying, "no one is safe online," really comes true in relation to these worries. Online, many young children, teens, and adults, risk security issues, deal with identity theft, cyber bullying, and unauthorized access to their personal information.  The speaker in the fourth TedTalk video described a terrifying incident in which her ex-partner, who was abusing her online, purposefully tried to harm her reputation both online an...
